I started playing and having lessons at just six years old, joining Berkshire Rock & Pop School at seven. Music was part of my life from the beginning. My Dad was a well-known guitarist, and I was fortunate to tour with him from a young age and later work alongside him. I also learnt drumming from Bret Morgan, who had an important influence on my development. Those early experiences grew into a professional career spanning recordings, live gigs, studio work and shows, including Top 10 chart work and a Christmas number one.
Whether you need a professional drummer or practical, engaging tuition, choose the service that fits you.
Professional drumming for live performance, studio recording, theatre and touring.
EXPLORE PROFESSIONAL WORK →Personalised one-to-one drum tuition built around ability, goals and musical interests.
EXPLORE PRIVATE TUITION →Engaging group drum sessions designed for schools, with teamwork, rhythm and confidence at the centre.
EXPLORE SCHOOL SESSIONS →Flexible workshops shaped around the needs of schools, groups and specific musical requirements.
EXPLORE WORKSHOPS →For me, professional playing starts long before I sit behind the kit. I prepare carefully for live gigs, recording sessions, theatre shows and performances, paying close attention to equipment, music, arrangements, click tracks and the setup each job requires.

Whether you're picking up drumsticks for the first time or developing existing skills, I design lessons to be enjoyable, practical and rewarding.
Drum technique, timing, rhythm, coordination, reading music, playing along with songs, click tracks and backing tracks are covered. I aim to provide confidence behind the kit and skills for live playing.
Practice between lessons has a purpose. I set homework around your individual development needs and, wherever possible, music that appeals to you. We then review your progress at the next lesson and build from there.
